Crowds take shape in many different ways; individual elements gather, grow, appear, multiply e.g.accumilating into a crowd. Crowd dynamics such as tranformation, (de-) construction, collapse e.g. determine shape, formation, density. and such leading to implosion, explosion, expanding, reproduction and every state possible to imagine, depending on the dna and environment of the crowd. In the process of painting, the image and structure will develop in a rigorous way; the formation of paint strokes interacts with the element of colour, weight of paint, overlapping layers and dynamic or static gestures will lead to a composition. Untill it finds it shape the artist is happy with, the painted crowd will be dynamic. The final static piece will just be a framed exerpt showing a still from the painting process.
